Is it possible to increase range?

I’m interested in your water sensor for a possible outdoor project and would like to know if it’s possible to increase the wireless range? Additionally, I’m looking forwards to your Lora support.

Hi, at what distance you want to send the data? We did tests which proved that distance over 500 meters is possible in open area. By another configuration of radio (slower speed) it would be possible to get even more.

The BC radio sensors are FCC, CE and IC certified. Please search for FCC on the ST page http://www.st.com/en/wireless-connectivity/spsgrf.html

The 6km would not be possible with on-board 868 MHz radio. That would need some other radio. I’m not familiar with Multitech gateway so I cannot help you with that.

We plan to release LoRa modules later this year, maybe that could solve your 6km+ problem.
